Roberts was engaged by one of their clients to design a multilevel support structure which was to house large, heavy equipment.  The project was located within 5 kilometers of the San Andreas Fault with over 75 feet of fill to bedrock.  Working in conjunction with the soils engineer, Roberts designed an extremely stiff structure, allowing it to be located on the desired site of the owner. 

The structure was very unique but fit the requirements of both the location and the process.  The result allowed the owner to utilize the rest of existing operations without major rework to accommodate the new process.
